With generous support from the National Science Foundation, Generating Engagement and New Initiatives for All Latinos; Generando Entusiasmo y Nuevas Iniciativas para Audiencias Latinas (GENIAL) brought together ~100 practitioners, community leaders, media specialists, and researchers from across the United States and Puerto Rico. Their aim was to identify needs and opportunities for Latinx informal science education environments, build professional relationships and identify emerging questions, actionable insights and forward-looking recommendations. I participated in summit planning, observations of the summit, and conducted a survey of participants.
