Summative Evaluation & Staff Professional Development
As part of the Hawaiian Hall renovation project at the Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Wendy Meluch lead an extensive professional development workshop for staff. The weeklong session included theory and hands-on exercises with many types of research tools, including exit interviews, surveys, and various observation methods. Together we designed and conducted summative evaluation studies of this very large new exhibition. Additional workshop sessions in subsequent years focused on program evaluation using the Museum’s storytelling program, O’Olelo. We created and conducted observational studies and self-completed questionnaires for audience members.
